H everyone,

I've got used A6 which works great... But only recently I had time to go through factory preset patches (the ones you can not change)... Some of them are blank... Means that I can initialize the patch (and of cause can not save it since it's factory one) but there is no sound until I initialize it... No nobs responce too... There are lots of them in the first factory bank and some in the second one... Is there something wrong with my A6? Do I have to reload them since I've reloaded the OS once?

Thanks,
Peter

No they just blank? You press any key or turn any nob and press any key there is no sound coming out... If you initialize the blank patch it's makes noise and becomes normal but of cause you can not save it... you go to diffrent patch and back - same story, it becomes blank while patch next to it is OK... only some factory patches do that and mostly in the first bank... I know I've reloaded OS once so I was woundering if that has something to do with it...

Thanks,
Peter

It's like you need an external imput for those...

I think the default user banks do come with some external filter processing patches. Can't remember offhand.

Well how many? Is it like most of the first bank or something?

Only a few at the end, like in the 120 range of one of the banks.

It actually sounds like you have a screwed up factory bank to me, either that or someone rewrote their preset bank with a whole lot of external input stuff. While you can't change individual presets you can replace an entire *bank* via Sysex if I remember right.

check your voice status in the Global page. the patches that do not sound may be mono patches tied to Voice 1 and this voice may have been disabled by the Tuning procedure

Is there any way to overwrite preset programs? Like using MIDI dump or something?

you can overwrite the preset banks, not individual presets. BUT you can only do it "internally"; first upload the bank to the User Bank, then it can be flashed to one of the Preset banks. it is mentioned somewhere in the manual
