Ok - feel free to throw things at me - but for some reason this track reminded me of a dark Art of Noise. Not the whole thing - but there was a line in it that kept reminding me of something off Who's Afraid Of? without actually being directly off of it. Mildly reminiscent maybe? Of course, this gets a bit grittier than anything they released. Smile

I liked it! Cool stuff.

Jkn funny that you should mention Art of noise, because ive never knowingly heard them!... what better recomendation though?, ill have to look out for their stuff..when ive heard, then ill decide wether to start throwing stuff!

A very key word in my little rant is "reminded"... Smile

In reality it's not very close in the overall sense - but there's a main part that really sticks out.

Regardless - I think there's a very good chance you'll enjoy Art of Noise - a bit of an 80's studio session players super group in a way. Look them up on http://www.allmusic.com (who for some reason have made it hard to deep link into... oh well...) - which explains it fairly well.

Who's Afraid Of is my favorite - Into Battle With is fun and In Visible Silence has it's moments. They had a bit of an influence on me - a huge one - eh, probably not, but they were right in there with my earliest synth bands before I branched out into a lot of different stuff.

This track is very enjoyable.. but I agree with mosc. there are tendecies here for taking this into the unexpected.. but applying some sort of prime or triangular scheme for those changes could be cool because that will break the sectionized metrics a bit. This reminds me of sorts of a mix between the residents and ... something.. I like that slightly slobbering metrical drive in the first section.. keep making these thingies!

The thing with having a change every 8 bars is a habit that i picked up making more standared dance tracks and it seems to effect most things i do.
It definately would make it more intesting to bring somthing less rigid, i also thought that if i were to a different mix of it I could take it a little off tangent
not exactlly a medley but ive been listening to a lot of lou reeds stuff and i like it when then music goes into honky tonk(or whatever) mode for a bit...
