use ramp for crossfade?

meow - me again!

as far as i've understood the docs, a ramp is like a volume control with params 1 = loudest and 0 = muted...

so i wondered if ramp is a good choice for programming crossfades between samples (or grains of samples Smile??

Ah, wise choice :¬)

Yes, indeed, that's what a "ramp" does, and yes, that would be a good plan.

On to crossfades. If on my DJ mixer here I only have one turntable going then the crossfader (asuming all the other faders are up) will fade that one record between zero and unity gain. That means that there sliding over the the crossfader acts as one of those ramps for the one channel, right?

Ok. now, because on my crossfader there are two inputs using one side like a "ramp" will also inherently define what the second turntable's volume will do if that is running as well.

So, there's your hint.
