the s1000 does'nt have a scsi port. i think it's impossible to create a floppy in the mac that would be read afterward by the s1000.
anyway...thanks...time to give back

it should work, it did for me when I had an AKAI S1100 connected via SCSI to my UMAX Mac-compatible computer!
good luck |
actually I was wrong, after the S1100 I owned an AKAI S2000 and that's the one I used with M.E.S.A. 2 _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube

Quote: | MIDI Sample Dump Standard (SDS), developed in 1985, was one of the first major additions to the MlDl Specification. Prior of SDS, musicians who wished to transfer sound data from one sampler to another had no alternative but to resample their sounds into the other instrument. Fortunately, the format of sample data is relatively consistent from instrument to instrument, and since it is digital, the data can be transferred over MIDI. |
you should investigate MIDI Sample Dump Standard (SDS)

as you can see from the picture the S1000 is one of the samplers that support this "ancient" standard.
Again, Good Luck, and let us know _________________ homepage - blog - forum - youtube
