T/G/T/S/H boards: going ... going ....... |
|
|
In another thread I introduced my threshold/gate/trigger/sample/hold circuit. This little toy is quite useful, especially with my chaos generators, for generating sequences of discrete signals as well as sequences of timing events from continuous signals... Details of how this module works, along with a sound clip and a photo of the board are up on my website:
http://home.comcast.net/~ijfritz/ch_cir3.htm
The board is for a dual unit. Let me know if you are interested. If there is enough interest I will do a larger run, but for now there are just a few boards available. |

Ian,
sounds interesting. I'd like one if you have any left.

Sure, I'm up for 1! What are the values of those two polystyrene caps, if I may ask?

I'd take one of a few. If they're gone, no big deal, but I would make use of one. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

...GONE!
But there seems to be enough interest to do another run. My barebones supplier gets them to me in three days, so they should be available by the end of the week.
Please PM or e me at: frijitz [at] yahoo [dot] com to order.
And many thanks for all the interest.

Those are the two 4.7nF holding caps. You can get them from Mouser in the US. They are a tight fit physically -- you may need to mount them with long leads to get the chips in. The rev 2 board will have more space.

If you are doing a rev 2 board, count me in for one. I have more than enough projects pending to make my whole summer and autumn busy, as if it wasn't busy enough. But I like chaos generators, and really good randomness is hard to come by cheap.
I am, of course, assuming the boards will be cheap. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Hmmm ... it seems it's mostly hot air anyway. Nobody has actually contacted me about ordering any. |

That's not cricket. I hope those who reserved boards follow through - I know it's probably hard enough to estimate the number of boards one needs to order as it is.
My hot air is usually expended on "I'm going to build this right away" and end up getting sidetracked for a month or two, or longer . But I'll build it. Oh, yesss....I'll build it.
I need a good, solid three months with my soldering iron, that's what I need....
Cheers,

It's maybe the habit as it was going on with Fonik.
I e.g. used to post my Order in the thread, and that was counting.
btw.:
posting the Mail Adress on Forums will ensure you SPAM.
just write @ as ---> [at] and . as [dot] for example
if you really like to have the Order done by Mail to have it clear, maybe post this again.
This things are oversight rapidly. |

It would be even better to have an allowance for email contact set in your personal prefs. That way people can click the email button below the post and the email address will not be revealed at all. _________________ Jan

Thanks for the hints. I changed the email address as you suggested.
I don't see the board as an appropriate place to do everyone's transactions.
I'm totally amazed at how people aren't willing to read and follow simple instructions.
Well, I've been getting a good response from the sdiy list, so I probably won't lose too much money on this. |

GONE! |

These boards are all sold.
Another run would be possible, but I would need firm interest for at least 20 more.
Thanks to all that purchased these, and if anyone ever actually uses them, please let me know how they work out. |

Okay. Seeing as how this could probably be used as a "conventional" S&H as well, I could go for 3 of them. |
