MOTU 2408 MK2 w/PCI-324 (optional PCI-424 PCI-X) |

I have a Mark of the Unicorn 2408 Mk2 24 channel audio system. It consists of the rack mount MOTU unit, you can look up the specs but it's a 24 bit 24 channel audio interface with a PCI card interface. It will do lightpipe to ADAT or TDIF to a Tascam unit. It has 8 analogue in/outs (balanced) and word clock as well.
I am selling this because I upgraded it a while ago for a Mk3. It's been kicking around. Someone else should use it instead.
Anyway £100 for the 2408 + PCI324 card. If you want a PCI-X version, pay me £75 more and I will throw in a PCI-424 card. It has cables, and I'll put together a nice package with the original discs which are probably useless, but I have all the software and manuals for it (and the 424). It should work in a Mac, or a PC, even (especially) an old one. I know of no Linux drivers for this hardware, don't ask. I have it in a box. It is not the original box (it's the Mk3 box, which I replaced it with, so don't get all hopeful).
It's in the UK. I will ship in the UK, I will ship to the Continent. I won't ship to the USA or Antipodean regions. You probably don't want to pay shipping either, as there are probably some there already. If you think it's worth it, well let me know.
I take Paypal. I don't take cheques. I will also take UK bank transfers. If you want to haggle, knock yourself out. If you're in London, you could probably come pick it up, or I'll pop it down to you. You will pay the shipping, whatever way it goes.
I have priced this deliberately cheap because I'd like someone from electro-music.com to have it. I'd even consider a trade for effects or modular kit, hopefully in working order. It is actually a very nice audio HD interface, and I'm pricing it down at the level of consumer grade units. Even if you have no digital capability you can run 8 channels of audio on this, provided you have a PCI slot, or (optionally) a PCI-X slot.
PM me if you're interested. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.
