First of all, thanks for your replies. It's good not to feel completly alone
Hopefuly I have a NORD MODULAR since 5 years and it is still working fine
But i bought those two G2 Engines one week ago?????????????????
And I want CLAVIA's feedback about what happens to me, i don't want them to send me only the two new G2 Engines back, I wanna know what happened and i guess you all wanna know too.
What would I do if they abandon me this way before a gig?????

Can't speak for all, but I'd like to know indeed.
Did you try the synth OS uploader utilty ? Can it find your engines ? And what if you use the uploader after booting the synth with the secret button presssed (pin into small hole in front) ?
If the upoader finds the synth (remember to have only one connected !), did you try to send the new 1.2 software to the synth ? (it is supposed to solve the problem you have).

Hello Jan
As I can see, you are curious about my situation, and I thank you, because actually I feel so disapointed
I did try the synth OS uploader utility, but it doesn't work for me.
Yes, I did try to plug and unplug the usb cables (I tried with original usb cables from clavia), nothing come.
Also you must know that one of my two G2 Engine work fine twice after the 1.2 update, I even opened the 1.2 Editor software , and the bug came after.
The other one is in 1.1 OS and it is not detected either, I've tried it on 5 different computer , it's weird/////
My conclusion is that the problem is focused on the usb connection, nothing comes out of the usb anymore, seems the OS is bugged.
Anyway, all I can do is send them back to CLAVIA to have two new G2
Thanks Blue Hell for your support
Thanks Electro-music.com community
Still trust in CLAVIA
God Bless Electro |

Gomidas that's bad news, not only for you.
It seems you've tried everything you could, so indeed a device swap with Clavia seems the one thing remaining.
I feel sorry for you, keep us informed.

If using a modern mac with OSX 10.3.x does not solve the problem ( do not use an USB hubs etc), then you should indeed contact Clavia. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

It's hard to do it without any kind of hardware detection
I think the bug came after my first 1.2 OS update because the second G2 engine was plugged; is this the cause of all my troubles?
Before that I've tried the 1.2 Editor software twice and everything was workin fine, but it seems that the synth OS was already instable.!!!!
As I try to update the second G2 Engine, I was so surprised to see that the updater didn't detect no modular!!
Because I didn't touch anything, except the fact that I let it plugged during updating the other one
At this time both synths were bugged
By the way CLAVIA is closed until the 1st of August Bad luck
Thanks GOd of Electro I still have my nord modular G1
Thanks "Kristof Middendorf" & "Tony Smyth" for the "Patchs_categorized" bank for my NM (essential for me to work)
So I can keep on groovin on my project, bouncing audio track of my NM
I keep you all in touch!
Thanks for your support

My keys version of the G2 needs a driver re-installed every time I unplug it from the USB and plug it in again while the OS (winXP) is running. This is avoidable by shutting the computer down first. This might be a simple, stupid question, but have you tried restarting the computer(s) with the G2 engine plugged into it? |

I think I did it a few times, but I'll try it again to be sure
But I must take one G2 Engine out of the box, because they are both ready to go back to their manufacturer
I keep you in touch, thanks for the tip |
