That's my synthesizers.com modular. It's a small beast, really. 3 oscs, noise source, 12-db multmode filter, 24-db moog-style LPF, a couple of ADSR's and amplifiers, sample&hold, slew limiter, 4-channel mixer, and that's basically it. About the same specs as a Minimoog, but fully modular.

I'm already saving money to expand it. I want a second cabinet with another osc+filter+adsr+amp combo, plus a sequencer module and some "fx" modules like ring modulator, reverb, clipper/rectifier, etc.

I wouldn't even try to compare this modular against the G2. The dotcom sounds great, of course. The G2 doesn't sound bad at all, but it does sound digital. But the G2 is very powerful, highly polyphonic, etc. They both live happily with each other without stepping on each other's toes. I wish I could control the dotcom with the G2 but I don't have a proper MIDI/CV interface; however, I plan to buy later a FutureRetro Mobius to sequence and sync everything together.
