btw I've used the G2 coupled with LMSO application for microtonal purposes already. Check this out.

Nice work!

Are you using LMSO to microtune the G2 via pitch bend? I still feel kinda flaky for holding off on the Scala converter project.

Grazie, Seraph!

I might end up doing that too. Learning Python, then refactoring the code to produce only the tuning component (so you're not stuck with electric piano all the time), and implementing .kbm file support is beyond my ability at the moment (lack of time).

The python code only deals with the modules in the tuning section of the patch, and ignores any other modules. Just delete the dxpiano modules from G2SCL.PCH2 and paste in whatever synth you want for a new template.
You only need to keep the Keyboard1 module, and connect the output of mix1-1A1 to all the oscillators in the new synth.

The bug I though compromised the tuning I tested just now. I can't perceive any pitch change at all from the fader leakage, even when multiplying the error by 16 and using the full fader range.

How does LMSO get around having pitch bend common to all the voices in a polyphonic patch? Do you need to run a mono version of the patch in all four slots?

yes, 4 notes polyphony means 4 monophonic patches each on a different midi channel to be able to retune each one independently.

I just wanted to say big respect to both Ian and XJ for their hard work on their respective software.

I still intend to get my LMSO updated and I still intend to learn Python (I'm a Java programmer) and actually contribute something to the G2 tools effort.
