Phase sync
This effect is usually produced by resetting the cycle of one oscillator with another. In real analogue synthesisers with two or more oscillators, it was an inexpensive way to boost the tonal potential. The sound of sweeping phase sync is instantly recognisable and perhaps a cliché, but I still like it. With a little restraint it can produce some uniquely warm sounds.
This patch does not use any of the oscillators with sync inputs as you might expect. Instead, the wave wrapper is acting like a sync wave shaper. The triangle is a little on the restrained side so I have included triangle to rectangle shapers using the constant compare module. This causes a little aliasing noise in higher notes so avoid (unless you are a fan of aliasing).

I'm personally not into these "synth" kind patches. This is interesting. Play a low note and hold it. Wait about a second or two and then play a triad an octave or more above that note. On my synth, you get the wierd attack where the chord sounds like it is coming together out of a bunch of partials that are fadeing in from a sand storm or something.
