that's excellent! it'd be great to have the 'lead' in one of the other slots.
ha, i thought that was a great quote from the documentary, too. also, milton babbit's line 'nothing gets old quite as fast as a new sound'

Maybe this could be a group project. plenty of DSP to spare.
The plucked bass still needs work, the original has a beautiful out of tune, metallic quality that I cant seem to duplicate. Would posting a single isolated note sample violate any laws?

Forum members had a tough time searching for this topic today, so I will mention that this attached perf is in reference to the Dr. Who theme song from the TV show to make it a bit of an easier search next time.

Here it is. Thanks to the guy who has the original tapes.

He said it was a recording of a string on a wooden box being plucked.

There seems to be a strong 7th harmonic.

Thanks, but for some reason the electro-music search still wont find this post for 'dr who' or 'Dr. Who' scratch
