Mark,
I will definitely tune in.
Those of you who did not tune in last time really missed a great great show. Plus, it was an intro for me to the streaming space on Stillstream, which I listen to a lot now.
Well done Mark. Can't wait.

Mark, thanks for the heads-up. I have marked the event in my calendar. I've enjoyed listening to many of your streaming sets.
Will you be performing near Western PA anytime in the near future? Like Pittsburgh, Wheeling, Cleveland, Erie, etc?
Thanks!

Russ,
Thanks for the compliment. No, I won't be in western PA, but Michael and I will be playing at The Gathering concert Sept. 20 in Philadelphia, PA. We will be opening for the Ministry of Inside Things. Afterwards we will play live on WXPN-FM's Stars End radio show. We would love to see you at The Gathering. I think it's going to be a great show. We'll be bringing our new CD with us which I think will be our best yet.
If you can swing it, we will be playing at electro-music 08 here in Kingsport, TN Aug. 14-16. _________________ Mark Mahoney

Just a reminder of my broadcast coming up.
This Saturday I'll be performing an hour-long set on StillStream.com. It will be part of Darrell Burgan's Blue Water Drift Dive show. I hope some of you can tune in. Just go to www.stillstream.com and launch their player. The site also has a nice chat room that's easy to join in. Stillstream is a great radio site that plays ambient music 24/7, and it seems to be growing all the time. I think it does a great service in promoting this genre of music.

I've got my streaming audio receiver all set up and ready to go!
Just a few more minutes until the show starts! _________________ Shameless plug: http://www.whiterose.net/~russ/synth.html |

Mark,
I recorded last night's live set so I could listen to it this morning. Great stuff! Excellent textures and evolving sounds. I thought that you made excellent use of contrasting and changing timbres; I enjoyed it a lot. I believe I will give it a second listen after lunch!
Thanks for sharing!

Russ, thanks for the kind words. I do try very hard to contrast my themes within the piece, and I thank you for noticing that. I believe in a couple of days Stillstream.com will have my performance file on their archives page. I made an mp3 from the wav file recorded off my mixer during my performance, so it won't have any internet glitches.
That performance will have some of the themes I will be playing in the City Skies Festival (May 2,3) in Atlanta. There are plans of having that festival broadcast live on Stillstream.com. Jim Combs has been doing a great job organizing City Skies, and it has a real top-notch bunch of players.
By the way, do you have one of those internet radios or are you playing stilltream from your computer? Those radios really intrigue me. _________________ Mark Mahoney

Great to hear the stream will be available in the next few days. I recorded on my Zoom H4 recorder, which was plugged into the headphone out of my Mac running iTunes. There were a few internet glitches, but only for a second or so at a time.
Thanks for letting us know about the live broadcast; I enjoyed listening to it (twice now!)
