I'm confused! I got an email saying there'd been a new reply in a topic I'd posted to, with this link:

http://electro-music.com/forum/post-191850.html#191850

But it doesn't exist?

And I don't remember it any how...

Did it exist and was deleted as spam? Do I exist? If I eat too much spam will I turn pink? Or get deleted? Shocked

This can happen when messages get deleted.

Indeed yesterday I zapped some trivial babbles serving no other purpose than to show off URLs. I didn't keep track of the threads those messages were in, but there were four involved.

Ermm and when you go pink you did something wrong ... otoh when you would get deleted probably I did something terribly wrong Wink

Sometimes, when I post in a thread and later on I want to read it again, the thread doesn't show up in 'view new post of last week', but other already read threads are still there; just not the one I answered to.
The threads are in the forums, where I can open them. Only I use 'last week' a lot...

a lot, I never see any surprises Shocked erm Embarassed I mean, I do of course, but not of the kind you just described Wout thinking maybe I misunderstood?

Oh, I dunno - I'm sure the British government would be quite willing to hire you to delete troublesome citizens like me. Cool

It could be lucrative! Twisted Evil

I don't know what thread it is, but I'm pretty sure it's not gone.

What usually happens is that the thread ID is wrong because something changed the thread ID in the database after the post was sent out. A good way to do that is to delete a message from a thread, there may be other ways as well.

I can't see anymore what went wrong either because the thread ID simply points into nothing now.

What was the thread's title? I think the message you received said that as well ... maybe next time, or if you happen to have kept this message, post a copy of the message here, such might give me some more clues.

The post was called 'This is what my digicam saw today' if that's any help?

It had some lovely pics in it!
