Anyone working with a Tenori-On that would like to share ideas.
I am a noobie to Tenori-On.Have not yet received it .
Expecting delivery 07/31/08.
Bought slightly used for 975.00 from Ebay.

Well I was sort of waiting for a firmware upgrade that allowed velocity and duration to change on a note by note basis, until it can do that it is a little limited.

I have been to the forum but did not see the post for Advance mode.
Maybe velocity and duration will be in a future update lets hope.

I bought one when they first came out and then sold it on soon after (somehow for a profit! God bless ebay...)

I found the whole thing too shallow from an editability point of view.

The sounds are boring and there's not much you can do with loading your own samples in really. In fact the sound engine is incredibly poor for a yamaha sequencer.

I was really disappointed that you couldn't alter the MIDI control parameters, as it completely limits the devices ability to control other machines.

Flimsy build quality too.

Shame cos it's a good concept and it fit nicely in the hand, but the execution is poor for yamaha and definitely not worth 600 quid.
