micro modular. "out of memory" and "lost contact" Subject description: Editor midi error's |
|
|
Hello everyone. Firstly i want to say that i have searched these forums for an answer to this but i did'nt really find one so i registered to ask this. My NMM has been working perfectly all along and now suddenly since some weeks i cant use the editor. Everytime i load it up its unconnected and when i go to MIDI connection window i get a message,
"out of memory. open the midi dialog and enable the port again"
and when i go there to reactivate it i get this,
"lost contact. open the midi dialog and enable the port again"
and then the same over and over.
This is so very frustrating since i have no idea what is causing this, im starting to think its broken, could it be that? I have a terratec phase88fw soundcard that i use as midi controller and like i said it worked fine before.
If anyone have an idea what this is about PLEASE let me know since soon its flying out of my balcony.
I will call Clavia on monday and ask then, just thought id check if anyone here knows whats wrong.
Thank you in advance

It looks to me like the problem is at the side of your computer, since I never heard the Micro sends messages like 'Out of memory'.
Can you try another system?

Hello Wout Blommers and thanks for your reply. I was just going to post that the problem is solved, thank god. I guess some program i had installed recently messed with my midi ports on the soundcard, so i went into the closet and brought out the midisport2x2 and used that, and now im back on track. A bit of a relief. So, people nevermind this message heh.
thank you and byebye. (nice forum btw, i think ill stick around.) |

BTW never try it with a Yamaha C80
Glad all is okay now.
Midisport works fine with the Micro for sure.
