If you use a Mac, would you be interested in a version of the G2ools GUI that runs on OSX?

It's a graphical front end for the G2ools patch converter

no no we need a link Tony ... http://electro-music.com/forum/forum-145.html ... which is not /that/ different from providing no link of course Laughing

Anyway, g2ools converts Nm Classic to G2 patches, it's a command line tool for which the commands have to be typed in at an OS Shell prompt. Some people have expressed having difficulties in using command line tools and Tony's tool makes for a graphical shell around the command line to ease the difficulties away ... lessen them ...

I have to apologize for this- The Mac that was to be given to me as a permanent loaner never did happen, so it looks like I wont be able to work on the Mac version of the GUI.

I'd be interested in a Mac GUI for the converter, too.

Sorry, but that is such a lame excuse. Twisted Evil

You can buy a secondhand Mac (that runs OSX) for a tenner these days.

Dunno what you consider "a tenner", but send me one and I'll see if I can buy a Mac with it.

Why are some of you Americans so damn literal?? Rolling Eyes Wink

Alright maybe not a "tenner", but definitely under a tonne. You can buy PPC Macs for next to nothing, and they will even run Linux if OS X ain't your bag. Idea Very Happy

WTF is a tonne? The HW may be cheap but getting the Mac OS isn't free.
You can buy a lot of programming books for either of those amounts of money.
