Went to AES here in San Francisco since it is here this year.
We are very lucky when it comes here as the patteren is usually every 3 years or more. Anyway the most noteworthy gear release news, the first is synth related and is the first hardware release from Arturia.
This thing is totally digital yes but emulates analog very well and also borrows accidentally I think some concepts in the UI from the G2 even.
I got to hear it and was impressed. They will update the OS with new features. It is called Origin. Check it:

Other than that I saw some new interesting plugins from old and new companies I have not ever heard of with new innovations I thought are totally worth taking note of.

First off- We have Spectrasonics releasing the seriously anticipated release of their new flagship softsynth Omnisphere. Very cool.

Then I will wrap this up with a new company I discovered for those interested in plugins. They are called Flux and I am quite impressed with their mastering and just general compression plugins that have new parameters that seem to have great potential and not in a gimmicky way. But in a way to allow select transients through while still comping.

Anywho...
Cheers! Laughing
