Check out the audio clip below of me playing my Strat into the thunderstorm module that we created on the ChucK sub-forum. Kijjaz did the basic algorithem, wppk did the rain, and I modified the thunder effect to work with guitar. Add to that a guitar motion sensor that controls thunder reverberation and you've got a cool effect. Listen to this one with headphones to get the binaural rain effect. What do you think?

Thanks, and please do have a look at ChucK. I can provide you with some guitar processing programs if you like - mostly basic stuff like wah and distortion, but some thunder and the like too, plus some wild '60's programs that kijjaz created.
