Mac users using Nicecast - take note:
You should go into the effects section and load the Apple AUPeakLimiter in the audio chain. You should also get your meter up and make sure you set the limiter's cap at the green on the meter. This will give you a healthy signal and cap the distortion.
I don't know if non-Mac streamers have plugins but if you have a hard limiter plugin (or a soft limiter, set up with aggressive top end) you should use it. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Hello Howard and all else concerned!
I ran a test of the streaming server and chat room tonight, and all seems good. I should be good to go to hit the stream and scare the bejabbers out of folks toward the end of the set. Looking forward to seeing and hearing your music!

While I'm late to the party, I'll likely be tuning in over the course of the night and morning. Not that I'm doing much else really.
Very cool concept and I'm glad I ran into this forum. |

The server is radio.electro-music.com, but please go to the chatroom with questions, there are more people there who know things .... _________________ Jan

I'd take a look at the oddcast/edcast instructions linked from the first page of this thread, and fill in the corresponding fields in nicecast. The URL (Jan's previous post), port, and the streaming format in MP3 are all critical fields. It's nice to fill in the meta-data, after you have tested the streaming, so listeners can get title and performer info, etc. _________________ When the stream is deep
