I made a series of sequencer patches to use at the Different Skies festival.
Since their intended use was impromptu group sessions, they needed to be flexible and programmable while playing.
Mostly I use sequencers to establish tempo and tonality, not as a melodic line (I like to hear humans playing the leads). I don't have the patience to enter them note by note, and I usually get tired of a sequence after a few minutes.
So my approach has been to use algorithmic sequencers.
These either generate random streams of notes, like a random arpeggiator, or repeated random patterns. Three of the patches trigger internal sounds on the G2, and three trigger external devices. The chart below shows the names of the six patches. I will post each of them with a description.

The kbd control patches are pattern based, but allow the pattern to be adjusted and transposed via the keyboard.
It's fun to be able to audition sequences just by hitting the "dice" button. Also, when driving an external device, you can scroll through sounds without any silent gaps.
Parameters you can adjust include key (tonal center), complexity (number of different notes included), octave, range, and length (for pattern based sequencers).

Yes, Greg, these are really great patches. You have a very clear an logical apporach to this, and a very musical one too.
