So Howard is not on board yet, but I did talk to Jan in the chatroom and he agreed to award the smaller ring as a gift to our wonderfully enchanted contest winner. He infused it witih majik at his command, naming the ring deerg, greed spelled backwards, the ring that reverses greed!

The second ring is mine to give away, a reversible half-persian ring of free action which prevents dragons and other creatures from paralyzing you. If youo ever played "Moria", which I did for years and finally killed the Balrog, you'll understand how valuable "free action" is.

Howard's ring is the largest at a size 12 and we do not yet know what majik he will infuse into it, but it is sure to be good....

These prizes will be awarded to the winners who contribute to our "Ancient Lor of Myths and Legends" album, so make a song along those lines and submit it! Whoot! What a holler...

You'd be welcome to use "Dark Army" if you think it's suitable Les.
Maybe "Awakening" would be suitable as well.
You can access either by clicking on the audio files link in my avatar. Let me know if you want any background for them. I can get a better bitrate version to you as well if need be.

BTW I'll be re-posting "Dark Army" soon, as I've fixed up the mix a bit.

"The Road to Al Qadim" is actually a soundtrack piece written for the AD&D module of the same name (Al Qadim) which we were playing at the time.

Oh yeah, Krunky, I enjoyed Dark Army immensely! Howard does request that we post our songs to the thread for his use in gathering them together. So you decide on a song and post it. I bet you'll win a ring, but you never know... Very Happy

Oh what the heck, I say multiple entries are allowed! So clue us in on your latest and greatest, Uncle Krunkus, or I'll have to post your songs myself!!! LOL!

Well Carlo, this is the third Album and we've been just running the thing until the entries slow down a bit, which might be a month or two... Late entries are of course permitted. By the way, listening to "Smooth Operator" right now! Yeagh!!! What timing!

There is some G2 noodling in it too, but I mixed in some stuff from an old DAT tape and treated it a bit with the wave editor, a collage really.

Sure, but you'll have to post it here Laughing

BTW seraph.it seems very slow to download from, not just now but it seems limited to 24 KB/s or something always.

Edit : but it was worth the wait of course Exclamation

OK Krunkus, I'm posting your Dark Army song... It really does sound like an army of Orcs on the march! Tolkienish indeed!

Yeah, that version will do for now.
I'm still in the midst of re-building the lab, and I'm unable to do a new mix of it till I get some stuff connected.
I'm still sooo tired from this horrible flu too.

Here I am listening to "Dark Army" on replay over and over again. It's wired into my guitar amp and is LOUD. I bet the neighbors aare pissed. Naw, they are understanding folks. This song reminds me of the Orc army of Sauron in The Lord of The Rings. I imagine being an Orc soldier and feeling the power of this song as my fate unfolds... Nice one Uncle Krunkus!

I want a longer version of "Dark Army" now. Listening to it over and over gets too repetitive... And it rocks!
