Been listening to everyone's tracks and it's refreshing to find an active forum with producers into something besides house, dnb, and trance. Anyway, here's a track of mine that I wanted to post. It's ambient downtempo with a slight IDM feel:

I like it a lot. But for me the drum is overbearing. All I hear is the drum. I would have preferred it a lot further down in the mix (or eliminated).

The tune is very nice, but I am not that fond of the very loud electronic drum track either. Right nw I lost the power on my FW interface. I will relisten to the track later. Very Happy

This sounds good to me, but I agree about the drum - not very interesting to me, but I've heard a lot of music like this so it must appeal to a lot of people.

funny how your favorite songs seem to be the ones people like the least, and your least favorite songs turn out to be the hits. Anyway, I turned down the drums a bit if you can do another listen.

Listened to it a second time. I like it much better. I'd like to hear some sort of modulation on the drums still, maybe like a phase shifter or flanger. Just something to make the that "snare" a little more variable.

I like the mood and feeling of this, and the timbres of the voices. This is nice track despite what I said...

Glad you guys like it! now that I listen to with the drums turned down it sounds alot more polished. I was so used to it before I didn't notice!

mosc - maybe some filter tweaks on the snares and hats?

seraph - that background noise is the grungelizer in cubase

I like this track, kind of a lofi beat with relaxing melodies, nothing too harsh, it's nice. I'm a sucker for these sorts of tracks anyway!

Keep it up.

Fature.
