Hi Guys,

I am looking at making a box that I can connect multiple guitars to and switch the output to be connected to one of these guitars.

Would a rotary switch like this do the job:

That would work just fine. You may, or may not, hear a slight pop as you switch, especially if the guitars aren't silent at the moment of switching. However, I suspect that's the case for the majority of the commercially available guitar selector boxes as discussed over in Strings and Things, unless they specifically brag about active noiseless switching in the specs (like the Whirlwind one at EUR 420?). A small switching-pop may not even be audible if there's other sounds playing.
