Hi all

My first patch I'm posting, and only cos I think it might be useful to some lucky, expensive dude who owns both a G2 and Elektron Monomachine.

Set the base channel on the Monomachine to 10, with a 'span' of 6 channels (channels 10-16).

Problems with it are that the Monomachine does not want to respond to all those cc changes at once! So some parameters are affected while others aren't. Obviously, if you mutate less tracks (I think 3 is a good number), you get to mutate more (all?) of the parameters within those tracks.

One thing though: how come variations don't work when externally controlling midi instruments? I do a mutation of this patch, and copy it to a variation - the values visibly change, but unless I 'grab' a value knob in teh G2 editor I get no sonic change. Really strange.

Cheers

I didn't try this, but you could ... Laughing

Grab a stat module from the in/out tab and connect it's var active output to the send inputs of your automation modules ... when the controls should be sent in a particular order instead of simultaneous you could use the chaining facility of the automation controls I guess ... but there might be a limit as to how many modules can be chained ... there was some issue with this but I don't quite remember ....

Cheers Jan, this might solve one of my problems for Mutating my MD.

As Dan says it doesn't much like the mass send of control data.

This patch looks like an awesome place to start for all kinds of Monomachine/G2 interactions. The first thing that comes to mind is setting up G2 morph groups for controlling sets of Monomach parameters and deleting all the knobs you're not using. But having all the prep work done for me is a dream come true, that's a lot of CC mapping. I'll post some of my G2 Monomach patches to this thread too.
