I just bought the Tommy album by The Who on iTunes. You know, "That deaf, dumb, and blind kid sure plays a mean pinball." It's all about Tommy who is this deaf kid who is a pinball champion and lots of other stuff. Anyway I have this chat friend who is nearly deaf and I thought it would be cool to ChucK up some stuff that a deaf or nearly deaf person could enjoy.

The completely deaf could appreciate it by feeling a woofer, and a nearly deaf person could hear it. "i can hear drums, guitar, keyboarding" is a chat quote.

So calling all ChucKists, let's make some "music for the deaf"...

I think I'll start with kijjaz's Thunder, which sounds like Dinosaur Footsteps...

Les

OK I mixed a toned down version of the UFO song from Close Encounters, the movie, with kijjaz's thunder (which sounds like dinosaur footsteps). Here it is...

Well that last one sounded horrible but might "feel" nice to the hands because it saturates the audio. Here's a smoother one...

This really sounds like a very good project. I am really glad to hear about this. I'll try to contribute as soon as possible. I'd like to try setting up a stereo sub-woofer.

(2.0 = stereo, 2.1 = stereo + sub woofer, so i'm gonna do... err.. 0.2 ?)

Thank you Jan, eNinja, you always dig up the best of the web! I added random drums using kijjaz's latest drum class...
