automatically logged out

it looks like I get automatically logged out, for example, while replying to a post.
is it me, Firefox or something else going on?

Sounds like a cookie issue, did you do anything odd with your cookie settings? Do you have a EM cookie at all? If you're not accepting or getting cookies then I think this is exactly what you'd see.

That happens. I used to maintain a board that was really crap with that. People would regularly see very odd symptoms, not just automatically logging out but also being unable to log in at all.... 90% of my task there was to say "interesting, delete your cookie and see if that helps".

Firefox does have a setting that needs some care; it can auto-block all cookies from sites that had a cookie deleted. If you'd use that while deleting the cookie to recover from some issue you'd be in more trouble as you may not be aware of what happened.
