References about Synthesis

Hi, I'm a newbie on sound synthesis. Can you guys give some references about the use of ChucK for sound synth and sound synth in general?

wonderful idea! you could write something about your incredible drum synth. for example, how did you created a snare sound? why to use that envelopes? and other questions like these.

I think a good first intro to synthesis in general is this tutorial, specially starting at chapter 3 http://www.pd-tutorial.com/english/ch03.html.

It uses PD, but I think we can even translate all the code to ChucK.

My study guide begins with that tutorial and after that the book from Miller Puckette.
