SC 3.3 alpha6: no midi out on Vista?

SC 3.3 alpha6 can only find my midi in ports. Is this a bug? (I use Vista 64 bit version and SC 3.3 alpha6 is the only version that runs on my system (the old Psycollider version crashes all the time))

Yeah, MIDI out is broken in the current windows release. I'm not sure when it will be fixed.

A fix was proposed on the sc-dev mailing list but I don't think anyone has had time to test it thoroughly. I'm attaching the .diff here. You might be a good person to test it actually! But I don't know if you have MS Visual C++ sitting around... if so you can get the source code, apply the patch and build the MSVC project.

I probably should set up MSVC at some point but haven't had time.

I have no MS Visual C++ on my pc, and my C++ knowledge is rather limited (the last time I programmed something in C++ was during college, and that's allready more than 5 years ago). I can try to download MS Visual C++ 2008 Express, but someone will have to explain me what I have to do with the .diff file and how to compile the code.
