I would share something, but right now my Paca cannot make sound with my cheap behringer usb soundcard. It was working until I dled the most recent update.
They got back to me and it won't be ready for a few days.
Nice customer service but it's kind of weird I have this new very expensive device I cannot use |

As well as the USB fix it looks like they have been putting work into making the firewire stuff faster to scan the bus and more stable by retrying to connect to unresponsive firewire devices, sounds good.
To me it looks like they still have work to do to get the Paca/Pacarana fully polished with Kyma, what I do like is the fact that they are fixing things quickly and that they respond to emails quickly as well.

These are just little bumps I think. This is new hardware so, there are bound to be issues.
This system is completely worth the money paid for it. IMHO. |

I can make sounds I've always wanted to combine within minutes.
Anyone who says Kyma is hard to use, I'm not sure why you say that?
Drag and Drop, I mean it's as easy as that..
Of course if you want to get under the hood you can as well, that takes time... |

I think it starts easy and then gets harder, at least it has for me. |

I recieved my Paca today.
My very first impressions, after having played with it for less than 20 minutes, is that everything sounds smooth, and is very intuitive. I have yet to connect up a keyboard and go through things in a structured way, but it did not take long to figure out how to play a sample, or how to put reverb on it - things like that.
OK, so I have read through the manual already, but still...
And a note on their customer service: I made a mistake in the extraction from the installation CD, and finally decided to write an email to Symbolic Sound. I got a reply within 10 minutes, and the matter was resolved quickly.
Apart from that I had no problems.
Got to go. _________________ Muied Lumens Sub Forum

Thank you both!
The prototype reference came with the documentation, but I downloaded it anyway, in case it is a newer version. I'll also go through the videos again soon, and the manual of course.
One thing... I tried to register with the Kyma Twiki and the forum, but even though both the registrations seem to go through, I can't access either of them. Maybe I am just doing something wrong, or perhaps the product registration has to go through first? _________________ Muied Lumens Sub Forum

It took a while for it to work with me, I bet if you email them they will sort it out pretty quick. |
