Thanks, Bill, while I do some soldering as in 'The Soldering Musician", most of what I do is craft software. The preamp/mixer is home built and the guitar is custom, but the rest of it is all software...

Les

Ah, yes, another ChucK Show! This week Sunshine returned from her vacation and as usual she made the show even more fun with her wit and wisdom. We had contributions from newbie ChucKists who did an excellent job at their newly found hobby, and I went through a few example files that you get when you download ChucK. Also featured was the new controller I coded this week for the show, with 1,000 lines of ChucK code. There were a few moments of dead air and a couple of skips in the recording but overall it went quite well. Enjoy!

Here is this week's ChucK Show. It features Kassen's Phasor, mrcold's music, TGV's music, plenty of examples, and other cool stuff. A couple of skips and one volume adjustment but otherwise production is good.

Enjoy!

Thanks wmonk and telstar, your expressing of your enjoyment really fuels my fire to keep on doing the show.

This week on the ChucK show we have some space music that I created this weekend. Our space music expert, or one of them - though he would modestly protest the term "expert" - Shane said it was beautiful, so we'll get at least 8 minutes of that.

Also on the show we have a Boolean Sequencing Lunetta demonstration I coded in ChucK, and we'll be going through some more of the examples.

If folks in the chatroom encourage me, I might even play my song "Puppy_Dawg.mp3" which is a horribly embarassing but cute and funny creation.

There will be all that and more, so turn on, tune in, and drop out as they said in the '60s!

Les

Well, last week's show was a bust. I was overcome with sleepiness and disorientation and couldn't do the show. Now it's 36 hours later and I've got flu symptoms. I have felt all yucky and cloudy all weekend. No fun. Sorry I missed the show.

Hope you feel better soon, Les. Try the binaural sync recording. Let me know and I'll make you one for longer term sustained periods of healing.

Thanks for the well-wishing, it worked! The cold is gone and I'm ready for next week's show. And thanks for the offer of a longer recording, Howard, if you get around to it that would be nice. Get this - i think i know where i got the cold. It was from...

A DUNKIN DONUTS GOOBER!

yep. I found a goober in my coffee that was made of old coagulated creamer. Stupid me, I had a frivolous lawsuit on my hands but I gave them the goober in exchange for a free cup of coffee. I'm such a goober sometimes! LOL.

Les

Glad you are feeling better, Les.

Reminds me of last week in a restaurant called The Red Lobster. My dish, shrimp, was probably the worse I've ever had anywhere. I told the manger. He offered me another serving of shrimp. doh Not to make a scene and embarrass the people I was with, I accepted it cheerfully and pretended it was better.

Last night's show was just OK. We had fun, which is the most important thing, and the chatroom was lively, however the material for the show was a bit sparse. I've been thinking about it and perhaps trying to do a show every week is a bit much. I think that in the future we will TRY to get a show together each week, and when there is enough material, skits, and improv - we will do so. But not every single week, as some weeks are slow. Let's just play it by ear and see how it goes.

Can imagine Les that you find it had to find fresh material every week, but I want to say that the quality of your show and the ChucKs presented is getting better all the the time - you really had some very good stuff yesterday and a nice and lively show too. Of course there were some glitches as well, but that's inevitable I think given the setup you are using. And thank you for stretching the show to fill in for Shane!

Anyway, I hope you'll find the energy and motivation to keep doing this weekly, maybe do a bit of Lunetta stuff in the ChucK show?

Yes Jan, I have a show's worth of Lunetta stuff. I may fill in with shows from around the forum, we'll see...

Here is the latest ChucK show featuring PLOrk and beans served on the ChucK Wagon! The PLOrk is the Princeton Laptop Orchestra and the beans were some fun songs contributed by electro-music members. The show went well and everyone in the chatroom seemed to really like it. Enjoy.
