Sweet!!!

Thanks for the heads-up! I've been looking at these for a while, and this might be the reason to pull the trigger on a new purchase! Wink

Uhm... The offer was for one single day? Shocked

The URL returns "The requested topic does not exist.".

They may well do it again, they were probably testing the water for a price decrease.

I have had an email from them saying they were inundated with orders, mine should be sent in a few days.

I ordered mine about 8am on Sunday so there must have been quite a few ordered before mine.

I'm #582!

The only reason I heard is that I emailed them asking about when it would be sent.

Mine arrived yesterday. It's very small! Which I LIKE. It attaches instantly, and shows up as a generic "USB Audio Device", no other name is given. It's really about the size of a laptop keyboard, but the equivalent of a 3 octave keyboard! The pattern based playing is very natural to me, as I also recently learned the bass guitar. It shares the same pattern shaped chords idea as the frets of western stringed instruments. This will be very easy to learn for me.

The build quality is good: mostly plastic, with an aluminum face plate. But it strikes a balance between lightweight, and also being sturdy enough for it's weight. It will be a few days of playing before I can get some accuracy in velocity, and also for this thing to break in. Right now, some lighter touches don't always trigger a note - I'm not sure if that's my playing, the velocity curve used, or the ableton synths I was using at the time, since I didn't run it through a MIDI Monitor such as MIDIOX to see the data it produced.

I can already dream up a wishlist for this thing: Velocity profiles, various tables of alternate tunings (just intonation, etc). It is attached to the computer, so having an editor to change these things is perfectly acceptable. And there are languages that are cross-platform that would allow the device to maintain it's "generic" driverless USB attachment idium.

Got mine as well, I was a bit shocked it doesn't support aftertouch!

Sticking the stickers on was a nightmare as well.

It is a noisy little thing as well very clackety indeed.

But after a few hours playing it I am already better on it than the keyboard, makes a lot of sense as a guitar player. Just need to practice scales and try to use more than 4 fingers now.
