Laughing Laughing Laughing

Actually probably not much different. I gave up on Metasynth, because I thought it's interface was arcane. Evil or Very Mad

Yes the website is terrible, but the application is fantastic. Pure audio magic.

I'm going to upgrade at some point, but I'm happy to at least have v4 running on OS X! That period when I moved to OSX but they were still on MS v3 was painful! Very Happy

Interesting cpu usage on this.

Playing the default montage 200%, stopped 100% cpu.

Is this normal?

Yep you have it, you seem to be 100% down on me.

Just playing a sine wave I am getting 200% cpu usage on a 3Ghz MacPro!

Thats one expensive sine wave!

What sample rate/size are you using?

Cheers

Andy

That's pretty cool! I've been doing some experiments with using images as controllers, but that was the most neat solution I've seen so far.

They've got a special going on this - $399 instead of $599. I've got the link if anyone wants it. They sent it out a couple weeks ago in a mass e-mail.

Actually there's a special offer going on right now and until dec. 26, through our website.

U&I Software is offering AudioNewsRoom readers a special $200 discount on MetaSynth 5.
The final price for Metasynth 5 would be 399$ (normal price 599$), or approx. 275 euro. That makes it much more inviting! Just remember that the offer is valid only for a few days.
To take advantage of it, please read the article linked here (and feel free to forward/retweet the news to your friends):

http://audionewsroom.blogspot.com/2009/12/special-offer-metasynth-5-at-399-until_181.html
