I was listening in my car, as usual. I thought it was a great show.

Show 28, 16 October 2009

This show worked out a lot better than I thought originally it was going to. I never can tell when I get home to set it up. By 20:00 I knew it would work, but the show itself is always different from the setup. I only set up a pallette of ideas, a sequence which has many different parts in it, which I pick and choose combinations of, and play to. So a lot of the show isn't even the sequence, although I have the sequence running throughout. This one worked well, I think. The softsynths are adding to the overall mix, still used the hardsynths too, of course. Hope you like it.

Thank you Jan. These shows do sneak up on me. I'm never ready, but they happen anyway.

Show 29, 23 October 2009

Way different for a lot of reasons. Went dark ambient at the beginning, added in software Klee, noise.io, some Omnisphere, and Neuron, as well as the usual suspects.

I won't be doing a Nov 6 show (at least a new one). I'm going away for the weekend with my wife, we haven't had any time together since July, and we need a weekend away from distractions. I have a particular rerun I'd like to see done, but I'll keep it a secret until I've discussed that with whoever will be around to stream.

Nov 13th will be the next new Ephemera, and it'll be my birthday show.

Show 30, Nov 13 2009

This show featured the laptop and the iPhone, for long periods, I had brought them to EM09 and got involved in the radio desk and didn't end up playing much. Which is fine, as I got to play 2 hours here.

Show 31, 20 November 2009

A departure from the usual, for the first hour. The second hour was a bit more like my usual, but still a lot different.

Show 32, 26 November 2009

Built on an old familiar theme. Maybe you can tell with everything being so different. I think this was a very good show.

Yup, excellent first hour, and a very good 2nd, I did like the redo of the old theme too.

Show 33, December 4, 2009

Definitely went somewhere else this time. This featured the Neuron, which I had time to do some new patches for. Gives an idea of what it is capable of. Also some software-Klee-enabled Omnisphere. This was considerably darker and brooding much of it. Enjoy.

Show 35, last show of 2009. December 18, 2009

Celebrating, or at least acknowledging the Winter Solstice. A messy Solstice it is. This is the last Ephemera of 2009. See you in January!

Good show Paul, I loved those scratchy string sounds in the beginning and later again!

Omnisphere, you said .. right?

Yes, Omnisphere. I have been loading up Live Mode with 8 patches out of the patch library (about 4500 to choose from)... Eventually I will get good with it and make my own patches like the Neuron but for now it's still great to hear what's there.

@mosc: couldn't agree more! For me, 2009 will go down as the first great electro-music.com radio year, and the friday night EdisonRex's Ephemera shows have played a major part there. A wonderful way to shrug off the working week.

Show 36 - first show of 2010, happy new year!

Apologies, this show was aired during a server meltdown so it might have been difficult to get connected, stay connected, etc.

I personally really like this one, it was quite satisfying to do.

First off, great 2009 season Paul. A great many hours of musical enjoyment ! Thanks !

As far as Omnisphere, I ,to, use it and many of the presets, I think, are very good starting points for other NEW patches. This saves time over starting from a clean slate IMOP. This program allows you to go very deep into the rabbit hole man !! The program is worth every penny. Wink
