Recordings from e-m fest 2009: anticipated arrival? |
|
|
Not to be a bother, but I was wondering when I would get to listen to/download the insanity that took place in New Jersey not too long ago? As I can't remember what I played, i would like to listen to that one more time, selfishly. Not so selfishly, I wanted to really tune in to a couple pieces I heard through the floor while I was setting up and many of the bizarre acts that I did not get to see live on Friday and Saturday. I recall that the Megadrives, NEO REV, and the theremin piece really peaked my ears on Thursday, to give them props, but I never got to truly listen to some of the other weirdness. Just wondering...

The majority of the recordings have been done. I intend to play some of them along with the interviews on a new Monday show which will run from 5pm EST to about 6:30 or 7pm. Hopefully we'll get the collection up on the server soon as well (a few logistical issues to get around). And sometime soon we'll have them in playlists for when we're not staffing the booth, so to speak. I am still missing a chunk of Friday evening, but it's not missing altogether, I just have to figure out how to get a 9 gig file from Pennsylvania to the UK. Things should pick up over the next couple of weeks. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Sounds fantastic Paul .... is there anything I can do to help out? Just let me know. Glad to see the music from the fesitval will now be available on the radio. There are literally 100's of hours of some fine music waiting to be heard from past festivals .... this is a great start ....

It's likely that there are more things to do. Mainly we need to get all of the previous years recordings off of Howard and we have to split them up into each performance and render to MP3. Playlists are just lists of filenames, so you can think up a few of those based on what's in the archives now. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.
