Hi i recently bought a Korg Electribe S MKII Sampler and a M-Audio 61 note midi keyboard.

I cant figure out how to make it where i can play a sample off of the sampler on the keyboard on all the keys at differnt notes like a regular keyboard.

All i can do is load whole sets of samples onto the keyboard on differnt keys. :\

I have read threw the instructions and anything i could find online and cant find any answers.

Can anyone out there PLEASE help me with this. Im totally new to midi so i have no idea how to do what i want to do.

Thanks

Hi PhantasyToaster
I think your electribe is not the right instrument for what you are looking for. you need a real sampler (software or hardware) not a "groove sampler" like the Korg you got.
anyway...welcome to electro-music.com Very Happy

Seraph is right. You should look for a sampler that has "Chromatic" tuning of samples.

If you are into using a computer, the software samplers these days are FAR better than the hardware ones are. Rather than just play a sampler faster or slower (making it sound like Mickey mouse at times), they can take a sample's FORMANT into account, and truely shift the pitch & harmonics correctly. Roland's VSYNTH and VariOS are two of the few hardware samplers that does this. But many software samplers (kontakt, gigasampler, etc) can do this, and almost anything else you want to do to your samples.
