I read elsewhere on the Web that Cycling '74 no longer support Pluggo.

Is there a new way in Max 5 to use it as a VST?

Nope plugin support has been totally dropped, this has pissed off quite a few people.

What you have now is Max for Live, which is pretty neat but only runs in Live. Max for Live has all the old Cycling pluggo plugins.

Max 4 is the only way forward for vst dev in Max.

it's a real shame they evolved the program like that.
i'm sure they could have done alot more with the program
in providing new features/modules that could give a person
the ability in building more sophisticated plugins, though,
thats fine. i'm satisfied with i can do with max up until now.
why couldn't they have just kept the program an environment
that could just evolve over time/develop more advance features
within itself and could compile VST plugins.

Plogue Bidule can be run as a plugin if you pay for it.

Is isn't as comprehensive as Max but I like it!

It is extremely good for OSC as well.
