Star Lake has declined our request to return there next year.
So, we are looking for a new site to host the event.
Please submit your suggestions here.
I hope we can find another place with on-site lodging, as that was one of the things many people enjoyed about Star Lake. Places to be considered should have at least three rooms we can use, preferably four. Two of them should be large enough for performances (i.e. can seat 100 or more). _________________ www.gregwaltzer.com |

Greg, thats too bad. It was a nice location and it was only 1.5 hours from my home ... . I won't even bother to ask why they declined our request. I just hope an equal venue is found. Thanks again for all your efforts.

That's too bad. Star Lake was a fantastic place for the festival. Look forward to the 2010 festival... wherever it is. _________________ -- Kevin

What a total bummer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Well there is this place near Havre de Grace MD. Right across the big river on 95.

I don't know about their internet bandwidth, but they have nice bungalows & a dining hall. They are friendly to 'alternative' events if you know what I mean. So I guess they wouldn't have a problem with a bunch of synth nerds... _________________ The most important gear is the brain behind the instrument. |

I would like to add some more about Ramblewood camp. It is very close to Rt. 95 and easy to get to. They have dorm-style bungalows, maybe 8-10 beds to a room. Their web page says 'accomodations for up to 500 people'. Unfortunately they don't have 'private' rooms or doubles...but if there are 500 beds, I'm sure there could be 'quiet' cabins and semi-private space. And maybe a cabin or 2 for small jams.
There are definitely several large rooms. I am not sure how well they are fixed for fall/winter events as far as heat. I usually have been there in the summer (last summer was the Gaian Mind trance fest) and camped in a tent. I don't think E-M folks would have much interest in camping. But if it is in September...there is a sweet little pond where you can take a canoe, and a nice hiking trail, and campfires... Oh and a nice dining hall too. _________________ The most important gear is the brain behind the instrument. |
