Having built the MFOS single bus keyboard controller and a makeshift keyboard (to get everything working ok) I had intended to strip my Elka Rhapsody for the keyboard, but in the end didn't have the heart. So I turned my attention to a Casio electric piano with full-sized keys. Not working, of course. This is of the rubber/conductive pad/PCB track/diode matrix variety, which doesn't lend itself to running the MFOS controller.

My question is, what is the most popular way of switching? Lever-roller micro-switches work out the same price as a magnet+reed switch arrangement. Gold plated bus wire seems to be quite elusive these days (especially here in England).

The Casio is now cut down to three Octaves to match the width of my newly built synth, so I want to keep it at that as well as using the MFOS controller.

Magnets and reed switches? like Ray has somewhere on his site.
