DEFINITELY cool! I've had one of these on my small breadboard for about 6 months or so, but never had time to do a PCB. A quad version would be great! Put me in for 2!

This is great. Ordering 60 boards next week. I will post the announcement when they arrive and put them up for sale for $25.00 each plus shipping I should have plenty for all who want them.
Don't forget, I also have Appendage "Touch Ribbon Controller" boards left to.
Thanks for the support ... I think you guys will like these.

Good news! The QB++ boards have arrived and will begin shipping this weekend. Thanks to those who purchased theirs already and for those that did not yet, well, they won't last forever
Remember, if you want a fully built and tested unit populated with ALL (4) voices or less, please PM me with your request and we can work out an arrangement.

Bill,
Did you ever incorporate the patch points you mentioned? If so, will you update the docs?
I finally had some time this week to start stuffing my protoboard. I made the trace correction from my artwork error (don't worry folks, Bill corrected it on the production version) and should be done stuffing tonight or tomorrow. _________________ Synth DIY since 1977! |

Dan, actually I did not. My time was limited and that would have meant possibly another prototype run (more $$$$) to be sure it worked and would have been extra work for the documentation. Maybe the next run of boards. These boards are gorgeous. I will take a photo and post. I am mailing you a board BTW.

Thanks guys and we should thank Dan Lavin for knocking out the PCB layout on this one to (and making only 1 single error .... not bad man) ... I just did minor layout changes, modified the silkscreen, and funded the project. Dan and I thought the forum members could use it and thus we got right to it to deliver the goods.

This is a really amazing sounding circuit - very cool! Four of these voices is going to be a very nice addition.
I'm in the process of mounting the board and some others circuits into a sort of 'stand-alone' drum machine - and am very excited to start using it.

Bruce, this is the kind of zest I like. This is exactly the vision Dan and I had for this when he approached me. Put one of these boards loaded with 4 voices and say an MPS (Mega Percussive Synthesizer) and man oh man, you have a nice drum system! Don't forget and leave some room because Dan Lavin is working on some neat stuff to add to this thing. The icing on the cake would be a stand alone pattern sequencer to drive all the triggers.
Have fun and lets see what you end up doing!
Thanks

Hmm - like maybe some Lunetta-esqe Counters, Dividers, Shift Registers and Clocks...and maybe an R/2R to create CV voltages..? That's crazy talk, Bill...

| Two received. I'm thinking about breadboarding one voice just to play with for the time being. |

I sure do like the looks of that big shiny panel RF, fantastic.
I received my bass++ board and have placed it on the very top of my pile of pcb's to assemble, it is a very exiting project. My current thought is to put together a MFOS 16 step sequencer/CGS gate sequencer hybrid thingy to play the ++, using a digital board from MFOS and perfboarding the CGS bits as necessary. I think it ought to work but it will take a bit of breadboarding first.
Thanks for the great boards guys, i'm psyched! |
