Hi all,

my first post here. I've just "finalized" (for now) my diy modular synth a couple of weeks ago, and it's fantastic. I've built many modules using MFOS designs, and very happy about it. So far I have VCO, VCF, ADSR, VCA, Noise, LFO, S&H and some mixers and multipliers. More on the synth with pictures and specs in another post later.

The thing is that I'm studying electronics and I'm so lucky that I can get a small circuit PCB (with SMD components) produced professionally in one of the courses i take this semester. (my job to do the PCB layout from the schematic)

I therefore wonder if any of you have a fairly simple design/schematic to recommend that could be useful in my synth? I have a limit in the size of the PCB: 50 x 70 mm.

I'm not sure how complex design I can choose, but I think that a VCO for instance will be too complex. I also don't know if it's doable with SMD-components. Maybe I should stick to discrete-components when building synth-modules?

Anyway, thanks for reading, and any thoughts and/or tips on this subject would be appreciated

Best regards,

- ZnakeByte

(PS: Hope this was the right forum to post in. Posted this on modularsynth.net as well)

this circuits look very interesting, and some are very small.
i think some of them need decoupling capacitors on the power conection, am i right?
