Calendar Event: April 24, 2010

Announcing the grand reopening of the Soundscapes Concert Series.

Soundscapes Conceert Series
April 24, 2010
Saturday, April 24, the Soundscapes Concert Series begins anew at the Nazareth Center for the Arts featuring local electronic musicians having international reputations. Twyndyllyngs and Technicolor Travel Agency will each perform a set and then perform together for a short, improvised encore. Doors open at 7:30 pm and the concert is at 8:00 pm. There is a suggested donation of $10 to support the musicians and to enable the Nazareth Center for the Arts to pay operating expenses. The NCA is located at 30 Belvidere Street, Nazareth, PA 18064 just off of Route 191 on the southwest corner of Belvidere Street and South Spruce Street. Check the NCA site for parking information.

Twyndyllyngs is comprised of electro-music's own Howard Moscovitz and Bill Fox. Technicolor Travel Agency is comprised of electro-music's own Greg Waltzer and Johnny Doyle.

Cheers,

This is exciting. Everything seems to be in place for the re-emergence of Soundscapes. I started it in 2002 and it ran through 2003 before finances shut it down. With the new venue, it is once again feasible to produce concerts.

The Nazareth Center for the Arts is a lovely, intimate space that doubles as an art gallery. There's a sushi restaurant just down the street and other bistros in town that are also nice choices. And then there's the Martin Guitar factory in town. They give tours on weekdays so I'm planning the Soundscapes in May (featuring Richard Lainhart!) for a Friday. Nazareth has a wonderful park so there are things to make a day of it.

I hope to see some of you there.

Cheers,

Thanks! The next time you're over here (volcano ash permitting), you'll play a concert for me. Right? You also have to jam with me and Howard on Chez Mosc.

Cheers,

Great! Everyone enjoyed themselves and the music sounded superb in the intimate gallery. Plan on Friday, May 21 for Richard Lainhart.

See http://soundscapes.us for information. If you're going and are a member of a social network, please RSVP at:
