hi,

i have installed the bbcut library and i'm trying to run the example, but i always get an error.

Mostly related to "var sf;"

• ERROR: Command line parse failed

nil

• ERROR: Parse error

in file 'selected text'

line 24 char 1:

(•

var sf;

sure i'm missing something.

any help will be much appreciated!

Looks like the usual confusion about code selection. If you don't have any code highlighted, sc tries to run only the single line where the cursor is. If that single line is only

(

then yeah, that's a syntax error Smile

For the benefit of future newbies who might stumble on this thread... the main SC help page says (my boldface):

To execute code, use the keyboard shortcut: Enter (not Return), ctrl-Return, Ctrl-c, fn-Return, or Shift-Return (OS X, SCapp), Ctrl+Enter (Windows, PsyCollider), Ctrl+c Ctrl+c (Emacs), F5 (vim), Ctrl+e (gedit/sced). For key commands, also see Shortcuts.

To execute multiple lines, highlight (select) the entire block before pressing the execute key. Do not simply place the cursor on a line; this will cause syntax or execution errors. Parentheses often surround blocks.


Yes, it's different from most other programming environments... but the way it works isn't quite kept secret either Smile
