Volume of organ section drops |
|
|
I purchase the Nord Stage Ex last week. I already updated the OS to the most recent one. I connect a Roland JV80 synth to the Nord or the Miditemp as well. Neither of those devices give a volume control signal (cc #7). Nevertheless sometimes the volume of the complete organ section drops significantly. As I change presets or programs the volume stays the same. Only when I turn off and then turn on the Nord, the volume is restored.
Is there someone else who has the same experience as i had? I have a pretty long experience with MIDI, but this is the first time I had this problem |

For what it's worth, I experienced idential issues with my StageEX. I worried for a long time that my Stage was defective....untill i discovered that I had connected a pedal to the "Organ Swell" connector in the back. During playing, i would inadvertantly hit the pedal a tiny pit and it would bring the organ volume down....as designed i might add.
Anyhow, you might also want to check the "Controll Pedal - use as Swell Yes/No" option in the System menu. If set to YES, then your controll pedal will also bring down your organ volume.
Hope that fixes it! |

Thank you for the reply.
The strange thing is that the phenomenon hasn't occurred since that last time. It seems that the latest update has something to do with it, and also the switch of Swell was turned to "NO". |
