Although I haven't purchased the Nord EX Compact, I am looking forward to using it. Just wanted to work out how I am going to use the Nord within a bigger setup. Can the following be done? (Please see attachment to help in my explanation.)

I want to use the Nord along with an M-Audio 88 note keyboard and MainStage (a program running on a Mac notebook).
Ideally I would like to trigger the Nord's pianos from the M-Audio keyboard while playing the Nord's organs from the Nord keyboard itself. Using the USB ports on both of these keyboards, I would also like to trigger the patches I have in MainStage (on the Mac).
Will the Nord EX Compact act as a good master? For example- I would like to call up a patch on the Nord (its internal sounds jump to a predetermined patch) and the appropriate patch on MainStage change as well.
Looking at photos of the Nord and reading the manual, I cannot determine if giving a patch command in a live situation is easy and quick.

Any thoughts from anyone would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Turns out this can't be done - USB port can't be used to trigger (like a MIDI out port) and as a master keyboard - there is no numerical keypad that allows you to call a specific patch number up (instead there is a scrolling wheel - not very good in a live situation).
Too bad keyboard manufacturers aren't players.
