Subject description: Having some trouble working with MAUI Elements to create a GUI

greetings.

I'm new to ChucK, been playing with it for about a week now and i am starting to understand how it works (i'm used to Max MSP so changing from wires to code took me a little bit to getting used to)

My main issue is with the MAUI Elements, because they seem to have a border (invisible) and when i position them too close to each other they don't respond too well. also if i define a smaller size, the invisible border seems to be the same size as if i hadn't defined a size.

i'm trying to build a drum machine like sequencer, and using buttons to define the patterns. this takes alot of screen real estate if i dont define a smaller size.

Any tips on using MAUI Elements? the documentation isn't really usefull, and i don't want to build something in processing and send OSC to ChucK because it wold take much more lines of code or even build it on max, because then i would just use max to do everything.
