5 V or 10v trigger/gates with Klee and Euro....again

I have seen the other posts on this issue, but have also had conflicting advice from knowledgeable people

I have read Scott's comments that all is well with 10v, but I am still suffering from some trepidation because my gear is all 12 v Euro.

Before I put in my reisistors to set the triggers at 10v from a 12v supply...
has anyone heard of troubles with 10v triggers in Euro systems?

Also...if I did go the 5v route, could I simply boost the trigeer/gate signals with a mixer module if I needed more voltage for say a low pass gate..please forgive the newbie questions and paranoia..

10V triggers should not present a problem with any of doepfers trigger inputs as they all have transistor input stages. There are a couple of modules, like the voltage controlled switch that can't switch more than 8V but gate/trigger/clock inputs should certainly be fine.

I can't comment on any other euro manufacturers though.

Having said that, 5V triggers should be more than enough to trigger most things however you could always build your klee with 10V outputs and attenuate the signals with external passive attenuators.

When I first built my Klee I had it set for 10V gate outs, but after some trial i decided to modify it to 5V, only because i 've noticed that most of the euro manufacterers used 5V as a standard for gates and triggers.
Anyway i can testify that both ways are ok!

I had first +5 but I changed it to +10V. Because trigging a Serge VCS I noticed that when the trigger is smaller than +5V, it will not retrigg the envelope until the cycle has finished. But with the trigger bigger than +5V the envelope can be re triggered before the end of the cycle. I preferred the second option.

Thanks so much everyone for the advice...I have a Bananalogue Serge VCS so opted for the 10V
