Hi Everybody-

I've discovered a lot of people would like to listen to performances of sets after-the-fact. I'm sure many will be posted by Jez or something will be set up. But I've also noticed a few others (including myself) have provided links to recordings of our performances external to E-M.

My set is available to download as a high-quality 256k mp3 file.

I noticed Richard Lainhart has done the same (posted on soundcloud).

I was wondering if we should set up a standard practice for posting recorded live performances... or perhaps let me know if there already is one is place; I did not find this info in the forum.

On a side note, I let Steve 'Spike" Finch know about the event & the recording. He is the creator of the Zen Tambour, which I played in my set, http://www.exoticvessels.com/zentambour/ . He said it made his day. In another forum, some folks outside of the E-M spectrum have asked if any other artists' sets were available to listen to. Very Happy

People sofar posted their links or attachments into this forum, which makes them bundled more or less.

When you attach your performance here (instead of providing a link) it will probably end up on the play list for http://radio.electro-music.com , the play list can not play externally posted tracks.

Also it would be best when people upload their own tracks only, in the media section and on the radio the attribution will then be correct automatically.

When you have no disk space left to add a large attachment please let me know and I'll fix that.

The radio transmits at 128 kbps 44.1 kHz stereo and can only play mp3 files. Other formats would still be downloadable from here, and other bit rates will be trans-coded automatically for the radio.

An overview of the tracks posted so far in this forum can be obtained through : http://electro-music.com/mp3media.php?forums=188 (but not the linked ones unfortunately).

Hope this may help in making decisions :-)

I'm not going to post anyone's sets, but if anyone wants a copy of their set let me know and I'll get you a copy in due course, then you can post it if you want Smile

And if anybody wants to post and gets an error message or has some kind of technical problem, let one of the admins know and we'll fix it for you.

OK well, here is an edited (abridged) recording of the performance of Edison's Ephemera on Friday night at midnight. It wasn't on the streams because we didn't have that sorted yet.

Some performance notes are probably a good thing.

Participants in this collaboration were:

Paul Harriman (me) on an Eigenharp Alpha and occasional EWI
Ian Harriman on looped vocals
Howard Moscovitz on a G2X and occasional vocals
Mathe Sluitjer looping Ian's voice and also his own vocals
Mel Morley (and I'm not quite sure what he was using)

There are two pieces. We could classify this as Somnolent Ambient Electro-Acoustic. It was played after midnight.

The recording starts about 10 minutes in. Sorry about the hum which shows up at times.

The Eigenharp was using 3 AUs as well as 3 soundfonts. Omnisphere, Camel Audio Alchemy and Arturia 2600V.

First piece is called "T-Storm". The second piece was spontaneous.

Hi, Jez. Sorry I was so busy (kind of overloaded) at the festival and didn't have time to obtain recordings of the two sets in which I participated.

Is there any way that I can get the recordings? Thanks!

Sure, I'm a bit behind due to jetlag and other life stuff, and have a busy weekend, but I'll hopefully be getting round to uploading requested sets next week

No rush, Jez.

No jetlag here but Tuesday afternoon when I was completing the final four hours of the twenty hour drive home, the fatigue really hit me. Wasn't until yesterday that I felt I was at a "normal" energy level.

The festival gets me keyed up -- I tend to run on adrenaline -- and then afterwards the let down can be brutal!

I think I have got sets out to everyone who asked for them, will keep recordings for another month or so in case anyone else needs one, then will delete
