I'm looking to find an expression pedal with a center detent, to my amazement I can't find anything really solid on them and they're not sold on the market.

My best solution is to convert a high resolution joystick into an expression pedal. I don't know how to do this but a friend told me if I could find schematics and a parts list for it he would build it for me.

Any help, please. I'm looking to use it for variable data by using a pedal converter by MIDI Solutions for things that have a center default value like Attack, Cut Off, and even Pitch Bend.

I've recently wrote a song that uses quarter tones and requires use of both of my hans on the keys so I need to use my foot for Pitch Bend.

Interesting concept. I googled around a bit and found another guy looking for the same thing, with no luck.

Maybe you could make use of switch pedals instead? A pedal for quarter note down, another for quarter note up. If you want more intervals you could use more pedals. I have a Roland PK5A that I like to promote when I can. Smile

I don't want to restrict myself to quartertones though. I never know what I'll be writing or playing next.

It doesn't matter how I get the job done. I just want to be able to convert someting to have center return functionallity that I can remap at the drop of a hat using software or something.
