Life can be tough sometimes, great if artists like the Ambient Collective care and put out a release for charity. And with some great tracks, too, of course. Three of these you'll get on this show, by Bluejooz, Braindouche!, and Greg Plummer. But there is more to this chill out episode: new faces at syndae with Rieg from Norway and Parseque from Germany. And a wonderful quiet track completing the relaxing moments of tonight's show by René van der Wouden.

What an exhausting week! So many projects, so much work to be done, and soon no time is left in the week's wallet. Time to get some rest and leave it all behind, at least for 30 minutes of joyful and easing sounds that still have some drive to pick one up and take you into some mind opening space. Get caught by tonight's episode presenting contemporary electronic music by Dead Beat Project, Altus & Trx, moonbooter, and G.R.O.K.

We had some nice driving episodes lately, and I thought to give it another go. This time returning to the classic style of electronic music, giving you a hand full of sequencing maniacs. The wonderful thing about sequences in music is that they drive your mind and chill you out equally, so these are 30 minutes to have a great and joyful time. On tonight's show, you will get electronified by ARC, Create, Fanger & Kersten, Gert Emmens, and Paul Ellis.

Remember people often refering to the "good old days"? Well, depending on what you do nowadays, many things have change to better. For example, when connecting to others from all over the world and especially getting to listen to the pearls, the masterly pieces of music in our genre, created so remotely and distributed on earth. And for me, to being able to produce a tiny little show to present this music nearly effortless to you lot via Internet. So on tonight's episode, we'll celebrate this world-wide closeness a little, joined musically wise by David Helpling & Jon Jenkins, Gert Blokzijl, LastEDEN, Moognase, Synth.NL, and You!

Watching the sky at this time of the year, clouds are quite domionant. Sometimes, they look smooth and cosy, sometimes they get dark and rough. For tonight's episode, we stick to their floating. About thirty minutes of ambient style music that has some peaceful and cosy beginning, but turning slightly angular and noisy to the end. A journey with changing weather so to say. Enjoy tonight's fleecy clouds with tracks by Appolonious & 33 Tetragammon, Cousin Silas, Dense Vision Shrine, Javi Canovas, John Daly, and Wounds.

Heads up to: http://www.syndae.de/episodes/359-episode-121

This is the first of a loose series of specials featuring music by selected electronic music labels. With this series I hope to introduce you even more to the wide range of styles and activities in EM, and where to look for what kind of music. The first label we focus on tonight is also a premiere to syndae. It's homebase is Chemnitz and the label is named Raster-Noton. Their releases range from ambient to experimental electronica, and, of course, this episode only presents a small excerpt of their portfolio. Tracks on tonight's show are by Atom TM, Fennesz, Frank Bretschneider, Kangding Ray, Mark Fell, Nibo, and SND.

Music is a difficult business and I think the biggest reward for artists is the acknowledgement of ones work by the audience. Last weekend, the german Schallwelle awards 2011 were presented to the best acts and albums of 2010 in the (traditional) electronic music genre. This genre surely builds the root and base of syndae podcast, looking back to its beginning, hence, who wouldn't expect me to celebrate the award's winners? Well, here it comes with Klaus Schulze, Matzumi, MorPheuSz, and Picture Palace music. Plus the top act of the ceremonies concerts, Robert Schroeder.

Join the celebration with: http://www.syndae.de/episodes/364-episode-123

This year started really well with respect to electronic music. From all the new releases, I picked three fresh ones for tonight's show, which impressed me the one or the other way. Well, there are more great and stunning albums to be introduced in upcoming shows, but these three somehow rocked me recently. The first provides musical reflections of paintings by dutch masters. A very cool idea and an impressive result to my ears. Further a very fine release taking ones subconsciousness for a flight. And another space exploring work of extraordinary beauty. On tonight's show, meet Bruno Sanfilippo, Remy, Ron Boots, and Walter Roos.

Intelligent Dance Music, short IDM, is as difficult a genre to demarcate as many others in the electronic music domain. On tonight's episode, some quite diverse sounding tracks will be presented, showing only a fragment of it. The commonality is a tendency to experiment with electronic sound and style, but keeping the tracks still rhythmic and dancable. Have a lot of fun with tracks by Anshlavs, Clicks and Errors, Fidelium, Myrakaru, Nerv'OZ, Rewir3d, and :10:.

More new releases are up, and on this episode you will get three more outstanding albums, which just saw their light. Two rather ambient but not necessarily quiet albums from masters of the genre, and a third one that is by one of the most interesting progressive electronic musicians in my eyes, who is also up for creating something new with his Desert Island Music label. Have a good listen to wonderful and inspiring tracks by Marsen Jules Trio, John Praw, and Remy.

Seems the good news do not end, so here comes even more new stuff. The first is a current release from CandyRush-Music by Desa Systems. It's followed by a free netlabel release at MixGalaxy records by Th.e n.d. From the label Mille Plateaux we get a rediscovered treat by Ametsub. And finally, an extraordinary mix of tracks and loops and clicks and voices by the Electronic Attack collective.

Over the years, eventually, from roots have grown stems sometimes ending in leaves. Looking at electronic music, at some places we're surely somewhere in between stems and leaves, like for the broad area of Berlin School style music as offered by the SynGate Records music label. Tonight's show features this label and their forthcoming anniversary festival at Satzvey Castle on May 7th. Get into the mood with some excellent tracks by Detlef Keller, F.D.Project, Pete Farn, Stockman, TMA, and Vanderson.

It's great to see that quite some new events in electronic music were or will get born this year, trying not only to give a platform for presenting established artists, but also introducing a spiced mix of styles and sound and visual presentation to span a bridge between our beloved electronic music and the wider scenery. So I am happy to introduce some of these events, which will give us the opportunity to experience more electronic music. Of course, represented by tracks of one or more artists to be heard on these events, which are for tonight's show Bernhard Wöstheinrich, Geigertek, Leander Reinhinghaus, Richard lainhart, Stefan Erbe, and The American Dollar.

New releases everywhere. Tonight, some not-so-traditional electronic music albums, which jumped into my ear and kept stuck long enough to make it on this episode. I'm really sorry to only have 30 minutes for tonight's show, but these are the rules wrt. the licenses I own. It's quite a mix of styles again, and I hope you enjoy the tracks as much as I did and do. On this show, you'll get to hear Antendex, Aruom, Complexystems, Ian Boddy & Parallel Worlds, Jazzcomputer.org and RamsayGee.

Currently, lots of fresh releases pop up, and tonight I have, again, three of those on my show, two of them being published right this weekend when you have the chance to listen to this podcast for the first time. And it's quite terrific material as well. So I invite you to take an electronic and progressive ride on this episode to enjoy tracks by Nattefrost, Picture Palace music, and Weldroid.

I endorse the times, when I come to rest and simply switch my mind into relaxation mode. Of coure, one never is alone and without thoughts, but hey. A nice companion are the sounds of the environment and surely ambient music. Tonight, I am delighted to have some very still tracks, well, occasionally disturbed by my voice, but I hope not too often. So I hope you can rest as well with music Apollonius & 33 Tetragammon, Nadim Haque, Spheruleus, and Stellardrone.

An episode I just needed after that week: quiet, relaxing, but not too slow so one falls asleep. And all the tracks come from recent album of 2011, showing again a small excerpt from all the cool new albums released this year. Would be great if you take the time and join me with tracks by Anima Infinity, Desa Systems, Devine Matrix, David Helpling & Jon Jenkins, Johan Agebjörn, and Robert Fox.

Not really sure, but seems, I am in a chillout mood recently. Well, as it happens tonight comes another laid back edition, this time in a non-stop mode with not many words from my side. If the weather is fine, take this to a sunny place, and breathe in the tracks by Deto & Gleam, DML, Essáy, Moognase, Sascha Müller, and Wenzel.

Back to some roots, I'd say, with this edition of syndae. Rather traditional electronic music on tonight's menu spanning various styles and in an extra large show, too. This is music that takes its time. Marvellous new and older tracks of highly recommended artists, including some free of charge albums as well. Tracks you will hear in a mix come from 23fish, Cyborg, Daniel & Booth, Dieter Werner, Kebu, and Mac of BIOnighT.

Extra large time again! Yet another in-one-go one hour episode this time packed with very chilling and dubby tracks. It must be the season's mood that makes me do XL episodes with less talking. Well, hope you enjoy tonight's show with a vast number of tracks by Authist, Bekeschus, Braun, Das Kraftfuttermischwerk & Bastai & P. Laoss, Dub From Atlantis, Dubsalon, Essáy, EugeneKha, Glander, Mildtape, Para, and The Marx Trukker.

Ambient music is something special. While it usually hides in the background, it not seldom acts as a kind of experience potentiator. On the other hand, it can give you a serenity putting your mind in a floating state. I love ambient music to let go or get into myself, and tonight you get quite a big hand full of it. Please, welcome the extra large edition of syndae with ambient tracks by Altus, Andrea Congia, Daniel Maze & Dave Zeal, Emerald Adrift, Marco Lucchi, Time Being, Reese Burgan, Robert Carty, Saito Koji, and Savaran.

Enhanced experiences at: http://www.syndae.de/episodes/410-episode-139

Final episode for July, and here comes another XL edition. This time focusing on some recent releases of various styles, melodic and rhythmic, maybe glitchy or experimental. Why? Because I simply needed a change in music, and broadening ones senses always is a good idea. So I hope you will enjoy the tracks as well, taken from albums by Sabi & Kiyo, 30[eks], Koalips, PiXtar, and Phil Gerus.

So summer in Europe was reduced to one day this year. Well, saves quite some money and energy for all the ventilation systems. Maybe, syndae has helped as well by producing so many relaxing shows lately. Tonight's edition is no big excempt, as we're onto some more traditional and slightly progessive sounds. Nice stuff all over the show, at least so it is to me. Let me know what you think about it, give comments ... if you like, of course. But first, get some wonderful tracks by Harald Nies, Kikai, Ringhausen, Ensamble Circular, Xenoton, Sotra, and Sternenspringer.

Space and time are quite two common topic in electronic music. In a few weeks, a new festival will take place, that makes space-time the theme of the day. Consequently, the event is called "Raumzeit". On tonight's show you'll get the impression of four of the artists playing live at the festival, namely BatteryDead, MaEasy, Matzumi, and Stefan Erbe. It's still enough time (sic!) to make plans to visit the event, its entry is free of charge! And to round off this episode, we have some very nice tracks from 2011 releases by Visible Breath and Weldroid.

Give space some time at: http://www.syndae.de/episodes/414-episode-142

Yours, Stefan
