I will be jamming with my Gyration Air Mouse Elite programmed into ChucK. The miniature 2-axis gyro and 3-axis accelerometer in this 3D mouse allow me to control ChucK music by standing and moving around like a dork or sitting in my chair and waving my arms around like a nerd. One good thing about this great form of exercise is that the resulting music is good for people with ADHD, as one such listener reported. Give them music, better than drugs I say! So listen in for something unusual (well, that is usual around here but you know...)... Hear you later!

Dang, due to your comments, I went back and reviewed the line-up, wow! A bunch of great talent and some new people too, I can't wait...

p.s. hehe - did not mean to imply that the new folks were not great talents as well... _________________ "Let's make noise for peace." - Kijjaz |

For anyone who might be nervous or unsure about being "on the spot" for their performance with a weak and faulty network connection or other worries, I just want to mention that I'll be there tuned in to my port and ready to switch on while you gather your wits for another go at it. In other words, don't worry about dead air as I and certainly we (meaning everyone else) will be there to back you up!

60 min to 120 min for all our stuff (JW+MJK + VOP)? We can close out show with long ambient pieces but are flexible to fit whatever is available. Great lineup! Looking forward to hearing those I already know and those I don't!
I'll have to miss the MIDI chat jam, though, as I'm unable to arise in time for it. |

Greetings All!
Please note:
The public ports have proven to work very well for large events like this.
If you do not have an active port, you will be using the public port system.
Please drop by the chatroom sometime in the next week to soundcheck and make sure you are streaming correctly to electro-music.com.
It is CRUCIAL that you check beforehand to make sure you are streaming to the station properly.
We likely will NOT have time to assist you for troubleshooting the day of the event.
There just isn't enough time for the stream ops to do their job and keep things rolling onair if something pops up, plus it is extra stress on the ops. So make sure to get in here within the next week so you can have a great set with no technical problems. _________________ ElectroCasa |

I may be representative of a few people on the schedule, in that it's been months since I last used a port (and don't know whether it's been recycled), and I don't know about public ports or how to get one when I need it.
Thanks, Shane! See you on the chat probably early next week. I am using this event to teach my son Jeremy how to stream. _________________ When the stream is deep

I would venture a guess that your port is still yours. I've gone a bit between uses and I still have mine. Last edited by nobody on Mon Jun 13, 2011 6:16 am; edited 1 time in total |
